EnerGel Whole House Fluoride Water Filter
Our 8-stage Whole House Water Filter system with fluoride removal eliminates the impurities of tap water throughout your home to provide great taste and pureness while reducing fluoride to below 0.5 ppm. The perfect eco-friendly solution for any household, it is quick and easy to install (we recommend calling a plumber to attach it to your home's main water line), attractive, and convenient.
How does our 8-stage Whole House Fluoride Water Filter work?
- Stage 1: In order to extend the life of your home water filter and remove basic undissolved matter, your water first flows through a 20-inch sediment filter to remove silt, sand, dirt, rust, and other undissolved matter.
- Stage 2: Your water travels through a 1-micron filter pad (1 micron equals 1/25,000th of an inch) to remove suspended particles and cysts like Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
- Stage 3: Your water passes through granulated activated carbon (GAC), which reduces chlorine, pesticides, and chemicals that are linked to cancer risk like benzene, TTHMs and toxaphene.
- Stage 4: Your water flows through ion exchange resin, which reduces water hardness and heavy metals such as lead, copper, and aluminum.
- Stage 5: Your water travels through KDF-55 media to reduce iron, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, aluminum, lead, other dissolved metals, and hydrogen sulfide, as well as inhibiting bacterial growth, algae, fungi, scale, and other micro-organisms.
- Stage 6: Your water travels through KDF-85 media to further reduce iron, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium, aluminum, lead, other dissolved metals, and hydrogen sulfide, as well as inhibiting bacterial growth, algae, fungi, scale, and other micro-organisms.
- Stage 7: Your water again passes through a 1-micron filter pad (1 micron equals 1/25,000th of an inch) to further remove suspended particles and cysts like Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
- Stage 8: Finally, your water flows through a 20-inch solid carbon cartridge to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pesticides, industrial solvents, bad tastes and odors.
Conveniently provides 160,000 gallons (3-5 years depending on water usage, or when the flow of water stops or slows down greatly). Great for homes, apartments or office use.
